UUP MLA pledges full support for campaign to save Lisnasharragh High School
UUP East Belfast MLA Michael Copeland today supported those involved in the campaign to save Lisnasharragh High School, which has been earmarked for closure as the cuts imposed on the education budget continue to bite.
Mr Copeland was at the launch of the campaign this morning. In a statement the UUP MLA said,
“As a former pupil of the high school I have many fond memories of my time there. Lisnasharragh High School is one of the focal points for the community. It provides excellent schooling and a number of after school clubs and sports facilities too.
I fully support the efforts of the local Save Our School Committee in highlighting the valuable role played by Lisnasharragh High School to the local community. I have pledged my full support and assistance in helping the campaign to save the school from closure.”
