Empey welcomes 40% boost for Port of Belfast
Ulster Unionist Party Leader and former Industry Minister Sir Reg Empey today welcomed the news that the Port of Belfast’s capacity to handle containers has been boosted by 40%.
Speaking on Monday, Sir Reg said,
“This is a welcome boost for the Port of Belfast which only serves to cement its position as a bulwark of the Northern Ireland economy. This also serves to make a good case for inward investment and to ensure that the status of the Port is not altered in the near future by the Government”.
