Empey welcomes possibility of new Jobs at Shorts
Responding to news that jobs could be on the way for Shorts through the new CRJ1000 programme, Ulster Unionist Leader and former DETI Minister, Sir Reg Empey said:
“I welcome the news surrounding the CRJ1000 programme and trust that the company will use this Programme to offset the 645 job losses that were announced last autumn.
“I also hope that if funding is received from Invest NI that Shorts will be involved in the creation of jobs and sustaining those jobs for the long term. I look forward to further developments in what looks to be a positive time for the East Belfast economy.”
